Another Cinema

"An Other Cinema" is a project created by filmmaker Mario Pozzi-Escot in 2024, since when he has been making and presenting his films, testimonial documentaries that seek to challenge the norms of conventional cinema. It is a proposal by the filmmaker as an alternative to traditional cinema, offering an independent and anti-dogmatic look at various Peruvian cultural figures.

This effort is aimed at creating an audience taking into account that at a cultural level, cinema not only entertains, but also educates, informs and trains, being art, technology and creation.

The proposal in light of this reality is to maintain an independent production that revolves around 'An Other Cinema', which aims to be an alternative to this reality, to go beyond the market category, the so-called 'commercial cinema'. Thus offering a cinema that challenges the established order, that is capable of reaching diverse audiences, and that, despite the limitations of the national film industry, continues to move forward with strength and creativity.
